Biography of Nadia McLoughlin
Meeting due to an accidental scheduling problem, both Liliana Giotta and Mattia Evangelisti were prepared to perform on the same stage, at the same time. The night was a huge disaster that ended in hundreds of people taking their money back due to the locale not having the organization to fix the issue in a timely manner. It did end, however, in sparks for the two innocent strangers.
They were married within the year, and Nadia lit up their world the next year. She followed along in the tourbus as a child and watched her parents in awe.
When they realized she was going without a bit of schooling, they hired a teacher and sent Nadia back to Milan to study. They didn't take many tour breaks, so her main communication with her parents after that was by phone.
When she was 15, her parents died in a car crash while they were driving back to the hotel from a restaurant. Both died instantly.
Nadia coped by continuing their dream with her own, beginning to live her life. She had a short relationship with Michael, ending in a fit of fights and arguments after meeting Ugo. She met Ugo through a mutual acquaintance. They shyly made no indication of their interest beyond friends, so Nadia kept her plans of visiting the good ole USA and left Italy.
It didn't take her long before regretting her decision. She was alone and had begun to realize the weight of her feelings for Ugo. They admitted it long-distance, and it didn't take long before he showed up at her shabby apartment, and joined her there.
They eventually made the move back to Rome, where they felt most at home and got engaged. In that same time frame, Nadia found out she was pregnant. They tried making the wedding to be before she'd go into labor, but nature had other plans.
Amos Tavoletti came into the world when Nadia and Ugo were 19 years of age. He was the spitting image of his father, and held many of his father's traits as well.
She took some time to enjoy her son and her husband before heading out for the first tour on her own. Except right before she left, Nadia discovered that she was pregnant again. That would be all roses and ice cream, but the hardships of touring made her pregnancy hard to deal with. She had dreams about losing Ugo and not being able to find him again. As the pregnancy went on, he drifted farther away. She took Amos along with her as Ugo disappeared.
Niccolo came into the world with only Chantal next to her in the middle of her tour, at Rio de Janeiro.
She dragged on, delving into music and watching her boys grow as her husband weakened more by the day. Nadia didn't want to watch the process of him drifting away from them any longer, so she made the executive decision to move to New York City. It was ultimately good to think more for herself and her boys rather than doting on the tragedy that was out of her control.
And it did hit: Tragedy. Ugo died, and she hadn't been there. He never met Nicco. She was on her own.
She met a man who understood her loss and having to be strong for her kids: His name was Gavin.
He had lost his son's mother, and he was the first one who made her feel understood. They were friends for a long time, casually flirting. It grew into an unofficial relationship and seemed to stay that way. When it didn't progress and they wandered off, doing their own things, she called it off. She didn't need to confuse herself or her boys anymore.
She got a call from a hospital in Rome that her closest friend, Chantal was in an accident and wouldn't last much longer. She couldn't bear to let another loved one die alone, and she hadn't been back in their home in Rome since Ugo died, so she took her boys with her and went home. Nadi had a friend watch the boys as she was in the hospital... Until...
Gavin came.
He helped her. He entertained the boys. He crashed on her tiny Rome couch, and made his way into her life and heart and mind and skin.
They went to London together for a wedding, where they confessed their love to one another. That night was the creation of their children, Tristan and Gianina. Finding out was a huge surprise, but one that came with joy. The next day, Gavin proposed. Nadia said yes.
She went on tour and Gavin joined her as often as possible. When the time came, they discovered at the 20 week ultrasound that they were having twins. It looked as though they were having two boys. They kept it a secret until she could confront everyone when she was home, so it was a more personal experience.
That ended up backfiring when she felt something was wrong. Nadia went to the nearest hospital after guidance from her future mother in law, and discovered that a complication had happened and one of the twins had died. There was no choice but to finish the pregnancy and give birth to both of them. A time was set and Gavin met her in Brussels, the city of their birth.
She gave birth to Tristan Scott, singing him an Italian lullaby. And then she brought Gianina Bellissa into the world. And she didn't know how to be devastated and happy at the same time, so she let herself be devastated.
Nadia went home to her family. She distracted herself by becoming a teacher for a year, and she married the love of her life.
A time came where her other friends were dying, including Michael.
While she was on tour, Gavin cheated. When she found out, she lost it and separated from him. She broke it off and was speaking with a divorce lawyer. They hid it from the kids through the process. She couldn't be with someone like that, and she couldn't trust him. She didn't trust anyone, if she was being honest with herself. Everyone was dying.
They didn't see each other until the next day of the dead, where they coincidentally ran into each other underneath London. He saved her, and that pissed her off even more than she already was. They yelled and screamed, and she wouldn't let him out of her sight. Because in some deep place, she couldn't bear to walk away again.
When they both were safe and he treated her wounds, she took out her anger in the most physical, passionate way a pair of lovers could do. And of course, what comes with all of their most passionate love-making, came a bun in the oven.
They were separated, she was on tour, and she felt completely hopeless. She set up a meeting with him to tell him the news, and before she could say it, she felt herself bleeding. She was terrified for their child and rushed to the hospital, without knowing that he was following her. He entered the examination room and they fought quietly, until she told him that she was planning on telling him. And of course it was his.
After finding out the baby was fine, they moved back in together to try working it out. It was slow, but they had closure and regained trust slowly. After a year of officially being separated, she changed that by tattooing an infinity symbol on her left ring finger.
When Ainsley Viola finally came into their worlds, Gavin proposed by giving back their wedding rings. Their daughter was their savior.
